I am Henk Binnendijk working as a technical datawarehouse consultant/architect in the Netherlands. With over 10 years of experiences i would like to share some of these with you on this blog. This blog will thus contain experiences in the field of (technical) datawarehousing and their concepts / methodologies.

There are a lot of theories around datawarehousing (especially modeling the EDW), but i also think that learning from practice can be very valuable too. The main thing then is to share knowledge. I challenge you to add comment and discuss about the topics. The intension of this blog is not only to provide knowledge, but even more to improve the knowledge of the topic datawarehousing.

My basic architectural principle in my work is to have a clear difference of fact and information in a (enterprise) datawarehouse environmant build for the long term. In other words: datawarehousing should be a program not a project.
